Reviews
“An in-depth exploration of the enormous impact stem cell research and therapy have on modern medicine, as well as the ethical, legal, and regulatory factors that shape its future.”
—From the Foreword by Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, India

This new volume presents a wide range of research on the hottest topics in medicine today—stem cell therapy. It provides an essential introduction to the underlying biology of stem cells and discusses how their functionality can be used for the treatment of diseases such as cancer and other type diseases that have previously been considered incurable.

The book explores several elements of stem cell technology beginning with an overview of stem cells and regenerative medicine, emphasizing their important role in developing a creative healthcare system. A chapter introduces the strong CRISPR system, the strongest genetic editing tool to date, which demonstrates the manner in which gene-editing technologies are boosting the therapeutic ability of stem cells. The potential of stem cells, specifically in the treatment of neurodegenerative illnesses, is also investigated, demonstrating the means by which this cutting-edge science is revolutionizing therapeutic solutions for conditions previously deemed incurable. Novel applications of stem cells in healthcare are highlighted by the continued investigation of scar management and wound healing by molecular signaling and drug development.

The volume also discusses the global issues associated with stem cell therapy, ranging from regulatory impediments to the growing trend of stem cell tourism. Patients’ perspectives and the real-world consequences of stem cell developments are covered as well, serving as a timely reminder of the importance of ethical issues and patient-centered care as we push the boundaries of scientific innovation.

Combining up-to-the-minute research findings with clinical interest, this volume provides much information on applications of stem cell therapy to modify healthcare systems around the world. Through its informative and multidisciplinary approach to both basics concepts and recent primordial tendencies, Stem Cell Therapy: Advances in the Healthcare System will be a significant resource for medical practitioners, clinical experts, researchers, and technologists.
