This new book, Regulatory Frameworks for the Sustainable Renewable Energy Market: A Global Perspective on Legal, Political, and Policy Approaches, provides a timely and comprehensive examination of the regulatory strategies shaping the global transition toward renewable energy. As nations confront mounting environmental challenges and pursue ambitious climate goals, the importance of effective legal, political, and policy frameworks has never been greater. This volume addresses a critical gap in the renewable energy discourse by focusing not only on technological and economic advances but also on the regulatory environments that facilitate—or hinder—the adoption of sustainable energy systems.

Drawing on comparative analyses, case studies, and interdisciplinary perspectives, the book explores how governments, institutions, and stakeholders across diverse jurisdictions design and implement policies to support renewable energy development. The chapters examine regulatory instruments such as incentives, governance mechanisms, international agreements, and emerging digital technologies while highlighting the complex interactions among political will, market dynamics, innovation, and environmental objectives.

Organized into three interconnected sections, the volume first establishes foundational and comparative perspectives on sustainable energy governance, then investigates the political economy and technological forces driving policy development, and finally assesses the environmental, social, and future implications of energy transitions. Topics ranging from international environmental law and climate-induced migration to AI-enabled energy markets, social justice, urban planning, and space technologies demonstrate the breadth of challenges and opportunities facing policymakers and industry leaders.

Key Features

• Explores legal, political, and policy approaches to renewable energy regulation worldwide.
• Examines comparative frameworks, governance models, and regulatory best practices.
• Analyzes the influence of technology, innovation, and market dynamics on energy policy.
• Discusses environmental justice, energy equity, and climate-related social challenges.
• Provides insights into future regulatory directions for sustainable energy transitions.

By presenting a truly global perspective, the book encourages cross-border learning, collaboration, and the adoption of best practices for building resilient renewable energy markets. It serves as both an academic resource and a practical guide for policymakers, legal scholars, researchers, industry professionals, and students seeking to understand the evolving landscape of sustainable energy governance and climate action.
