Titled Polymer–Carbon Quantum Dot Nanocomposites: Computational Intelligence Techniques for Environmental and Biomedical Applications, this forthcoming book will provide a detailed overview of the design, synthesis, characterization, and advanced applications of polymer–carbon quantum dot (CQD) nanocomposites. The volume will deal with the synergistic integration of functional polymers with carbon quantum dots to develop next generation materials with enhanced optical, electrical, mechanical and biocompatible properties.

The book will present the application of computational intelligence approaches such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics and predictive modeling for the optimization of nanocomposite fabrication, performance evaluation and other more applications. Particular attention will be given to environmental remediation, water purification, sensing of pollutants, antimicrobial systems, drug delivery, bioimaging, biosensing, tissue engineering and healthcare technologies.

In contrast, this volume plans to connect materials science, nanotechnology, computational modelling, and biomedical engineering and will provide significant knowledge for researchers, academicians, and industry professionals followed by future perspectives on the development of intelligent polymer-CQD nanocomposite systems for sustainable environmental solutions and innovative biomedical applications.

Submission procedure:
We invite researchers, academicians, scientists and industry professionals to contribute and share original and quality research works as book chapters for our edited volume. We invite interested authors/contributors to submit a one-page chapter proposal (or extended abstract) clearly outlining the scope, objectives, methodology, and expected contributions of the proposed chapter on August 31, 2026. The proposal with the proposed chapter are title, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s) and contact information.

Authors will be notified of the editorial decision on their proposals by September 05, 2026. Contributors will be asked to submit the full manuscript of the chapter (15-20 pages) by January 31, 2027 upon acceptance. All submitted chapters will be subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review process to guarantee the highest standards of scholarly quality, originality, and relevance to the theme of the edited book.
We welcome submissions of original research, critical reviews, case studies, computational studies and interdisciplinary perspectives on polymer–carbon quantum dot nanocomposites and their environmental and biomedical applications.

Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry at Mewar University, Chittorgarh, India

Dr. Giriraj Tailor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Mewar University, Chittorgarh, India. He holds a PhD in Polymer Science and has over eight years of research experience in the interdisciplinary fields of polymer science and nanotechnology. His work focuses on the synthesis and structural modification of advanced polymeric materials and nanocomposites for environmental and biomedical applications. Dr. Tailor specializes in the green synthesis of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles using plant-based reducing agents, with applications in water purification, antimicrobial coatings, and drug delivery. He has successfully developed various biodegradable and high-performance polymer matrices enhanced with nanofillers or biogenic nanoparticles. With a strong commitment to sustainable and translational research, Dr. Tailor has published over 50 research and review articles in reputed international journals. He is also giving services as reviewer in many international and national journals such as journals published by Elsevier, Springer Nature, and Scientific Research Publishing, and the Asian Journal of Chemistry. He is also a Scientific Editor for Results in Surfaces and Interfaces.

Dr. Saurabh Singh
M.L.V. Government College, Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India

Dr. Saurabh Singh was awarded a PhD degree from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India, under the guidance of Prof. R. T. Pardasani and Prof. Rahul Joshi in the year 2014. He has published 40 research papers and book chapters in national and international journals (Springer, Elsevier, Bentham Science, Wiley, etc.) in the areas of nanoscience, organic synthesis, and environmental science. He also has the distinction of receiving a best presentation award at a conference organized by the Association of Chemistry Teachers, Mumbai. As a teacher, he is actively involved in teaching different areas of chemistry such as spectroscopy, stereochemistry, and organometallic chemistry to undergraduate and postgraduate students at M.L.V. Government College, Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India. He has also served as a guest faculty at various other colleges and universities. Presently he is working as research guide in the area of nanofertilizer, MOF, and phytochemical analysis. He serving as a reviewer for many international and national journals published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Springer Nature, Scientific Scientific Research Publishing, as well as the Asian zjournal of Chemistry, etc.

Dr. Deepak Kumar
Research Officer (Chemistry), CCRAS-CARI, Kolkata, India

Dr. Deepak Kumar is currently working as a Research Officer (Chemistry) at CCRAS-CARI Kolkata, India. He obtained his PhD (Chemistry) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur, in the year 2020. His doctoral research work was mainly focused on analyzing molecular interactions and dynamics of various drug delivery systems both in the solution and solid state by employing NMR methodologies based on relaxation, diffusion, magnetization transfer (MT), cross-polarization, and chemical exchange. He started his career as a Geoscientist for the Geological Survey of India in the year 2019 and was associated with the analysis of the samples of the National Geo-Chemical Mapping (NGCM) project. He joined the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, in the year 2021, as a Research Officer (Chemistry) at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata. He is currently handling various research projects related to drug development. He is also actively associated with the various activities of the NABL ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory of CARI, Kolkata, as Deputy Quality Manager. He has published more than 50 research articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and holds an international patent. He serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for several international journals, including Scientific Reports, RSC Advances, Microchemical Journal, Biochemistry and Biophysics Reports, Analyst, Molecular Diversity, In Silico Pharmacology, Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Journal of Molecular Modelling, BMC Chemistry, Journal of Pharmaceutical Innovation, Online Journal of Chemistry,, etc., as well as for ACS Books, and Bentham Books. Dr. Rajesh Kumar
Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arkansas, AR, USA

Dr. Rajesh Kumar is a postdoc at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arkansas, AR, USA. He was formerly a postdoc at the Institute of Electronics, NYCU Taiwan from Oct 2020 to April 2022. He completed his PhD at the Centre of Excellence in Energy and Depart of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur. His research involves semiconductor device physics. His current project is on a III-V QD-based laser device.
