Addressing the need for novel solutions to cancer management, this new volume, Novel Drug Delivery Systems in the Management of Cancer, ,presents an insightful analysis of the most recent developments in innovative drug delivery techniques for the treatment of cancer. It offers an exploration of how cutting-edge drug delivery systems are revolutionizing the treatment of cancer, addressing the challenges in cancer treatment and highlighting how novel drug delivery strategies are reshaping the landscape of cancer therapy, from improving drug efficacy to minimizing adverse side effects.

Novel drug delivery systems (DDS) have surfaced as a viable approach to address the drawbacks of traditional cancer treatments in recent years. Anticancer agents can now be released in a targeted, regulated, and sustained manner, thanks to these innovative technologies, which increase their effectiveness while reducing their negative effects. This book covers the recent trends of NDDS in context with the most frequent occurring chronic diseases.

The book first presents provides an overview of the cancer landscape, particularly in reference to nanotechnology-based formulation systems for treatment of cancer. It goes on to discuss strategies and current perspective of DDS in cancer, looking at strategic novel approaches to target colorectal cancer, tumor-targeted drug delivery in gastric cancer, renal kidney-targeted drug delivery systems, and novel drug delivery systems for prostate cancer. It continue with novel approaches and emerging trends for cancer management, focusing on emerging trends in drug targeting systems for lung cancer, skin cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, oral cancer, and more.

It also looks at toxicities involved in cancer therapy, which can cause damage or dysfunction of the heart and blood vessels caused by exposure to various substances or treatments.

Other new therapies such as photothermal and photodynamic therapies with nanotechnology are addressed as well.

Aiming to stimulate fresh thinking, encourage teamwork, and hasten the adoption of innovative drug delivery systems in clinical practice, this volume provide valuable information for budding researchers who wish to work on chronic diseases as well as for established researchers and industry professionals in the development of new drug delivery systems for the management of cancer.
