In this volume, researchers and engineers showcase experimental, analytical, and numerical methods to tackle barrier-overcoming difficulties with the application of nanoscale device technology. The ongoing reduction in the size of devices, components, and systems necessitates advanced theoretical analysis that is backed by simulated results prior to actual production. CONTENTS: About the Authors / Editors: Editors: Arpan Deyasi, PhD Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India Arpan Deyasi, PhD, is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. He has more than 18 years of professional experience in academia and industry. His work revolves around in the field of semiconductor nanostructures and semiconductor photonics. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed research papers and edited eight books, and four are in press now. He has completed two funded projects as principal investigator and two are ongoing. He has served as a technical consultant on various industrial projects. He is associated with different international and national conferences in various aspects and also serving as guest editor of a few renowned journals. He is senior member of IEEE, Vice-Chair of IEEE Electron Device Society (Kolkata Chapter), Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) (IE[I]), Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Indian Society for VLSI Education (ISVE); and also a member of the Optical Society of India, etc. Dr. Deyasi has served as resource person for several seminars, workshops, and conferences. He has also organized several technical programs under the banner of IE(I) student chapter in his department. Angsuman Sarkar, PhD Professor and Head, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal, India Angsuman Sarkar, PhD, is presently serving as a Professor and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal, India. He had earlier served at Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College and Kalyani Government Engineering College as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department for more than 23 years. His current research interest involves the study of short channel effects of sub 100nm MOSFETs and nanodevice modeling. He is a senior member of IEEE, fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), fellow of the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, and life member of Indian Society for Technical Education, and has served in the past as the chairman of IEEE Electron Device Society, Kolkata Chapter. He has authored six books, over 20 contributed book chapters, nearly 100 journal papers in international refereed journals, and over 50 research papers in national and international conferences. His name is featured in the list of “World Ranking of top 2 % Scientists” from the Indian subcontinent in the field of Nanoscience & Nanotechnology by Stanford University and Elsevier jointly. He is a member of the boards of editors of various journals and is a reviewer for various international journals. He is currently supervising several PhD scholars and has already guided several students successfully as principal supervisor. He has delivered invited talks, tutorial speeches, and expert talks at various international conferences, technical programs and has organized IEEE international conferences and several workshops and seminars. He received his MTech degree in VLSI & Microelectronics and later completed his PhD at Jadavpur University, India. |
