This new volume reviews the role of nanotechnology in shaping the future of green chemistry, energy systems, and environmental technologies, exploring how enhanced reactivity and tunable physical and chemical characteristics enable nanomaterials to effectively deal with the pressing issues of energy storage and an ever-degrading environment.

Covering a broad spectrum of topics—from synthesis to tailoring the properties of nanomaterials, this volume discusses the significant applications of nanomaterials in energy storage, water treatment, and biotechnology. The volume first discusses nanostructures in green chemistry and nanotechnology in biotechnology, highlighting the properties and environmental remediation applications of nanomaterials.

It goes to explore more specific applications such as the application of nanomaterials for sustainable energy storage; for wastewater treatment such as with myconanotechnology (or fungal nanotechnology), biosorbents, bamboo-activated charcoal, etc.; and more.

Highlighting the diverse applications of nanomaterials in distinct fields, this volume brings together the insights of the researchers and experts from the industry to provide a valuable resource for professionals, research scholars, and postgraduate as well as undergraduate students working in this rapidly evolving area.
