Short description about the volume:

The book, Computational Modeling and Simulation of Biofluid Dynamics: Mathematical Methods, Numerical Techniques, and Biomedical Applications, will provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary treatment of the mathematical foundations, computational methodologies, and engineering applications of biofluid dynamics. It will cover the entire spectrum of biofluid flow analysis, beginning with the governing principles of fluid mechanics and rheological behavior of biological fluids, followed by advanced numerical methods, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), lattice Boltzmann methods, particle-based simulations, multiphysics modeling, optimization techniques, and artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted computational frameworks. The volume will further highlight cutting-edge applications in cardiovascular and respiratory systems, drug delivery, microfluidics, tissue engineering, and biomedical device design, while addressing emerging topics such as digital twins, reduced-order modeling, uncertainty quantification, and AI-integrated simulation environments.

This edited volume aims to bring together researchers, academicians, healthcare professionals, biomedical engineers, computational scientists, mathematicians, and industry practitioners to present the latest theoretical developments, numerical algorithms, and real-world applications in biofluid mechanics. By integrating mathematical modeling with modern computational intelligence and data-driven approaches, the book will provide a unified platform for understanding complex physiological flows and developing predictive simulation tools for next-generation biomedical technologies.

The proposed volume will serve as an invaluable reference for graduate students, researchers, faculty members, and professionals working in applied mathematics, computational fluid dynamics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, medical sciences, and computational biology. It emphasizes interdisciplinary research by combining physics-based models, high-performance computing, optimization techniques, and machine learning to solve challenging problems in biological fluid flow.
