Before that, he worked as a professor in the Department of Horticulture, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. In addition to teaching a variety of graduate and postgraduate horticultural courses, he focused his research on plant physiology under abiotic stresses, the management of nutrient uptake of horticultural crops, and plant adaptation under climate uncertainty. His research aims to comprehend the underlying mechanisms for managing abiotic stresses (salt, drought, temperature, waterlogging, etc.) by combining physiological, eco-physiological, molecular, and biogeochemical approaches. With 15 years of experience in horticulture, Dr. Hussain has published over 80 peer-reviewed publications, one edited book, over 40 book chapters, and several conference papers. He has successfully mentored three PhD students and 30 MPhil students while also serving as a principal and co-principal investigator on various research grants worth over $100,000 USD from different funding agencies. Furthermore, he is actively involved as a reviewer for different high-impact factor journals. Dr. Sajjad Hussain earned his Ph.D. from the University of Corsica Pascale Paoli, France, in 2011. Kamrun Nahar, PhD Professor, Department of Agricultural Botany, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh Kamrun Nahar, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Botany at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Nahar has been involved in research activities in plant physiology since 2006. Over the years, she established herself as a leading researcher in the field of plant physiology and abiotic stress (salinity, drought, flood, and heavy metals/metalloids) response of plants. Dr. Nahar published 75 articles, wrote one book, edited nine books, and written 35 book chapters on different aspects of plant physiology, plant stress tolerance, and crop production with publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, CRC Press, and Wiley. According to Scopus, His publications received over 9,800 citations, with an h-index of 54. She is involved in editorial activities and is a reviewer for international journals. She is a member of different professional societies. She attended different national and international conferences and presented her research work. Dr. Nahar received the Dean Award for her outstanding academic achievement in BScAg. (Hons.) in Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. During her master study period at the Department of Agricultural Botany, SAU, she was awarded a National Science and Information & Communication Technology (NSICT) Fellowship. Dr. Nahar was awarded the Gold Medal for outstanding performance securing the First Position at the university in order of merit for her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (Hons.) at SAU. She received BAS-Gold Medal Award-2017 in Biological Sciences (Junior Group) from Bangladesh Academy of Sciences (BAS). She received her PhD degree in Environmental Stress Physiology of Plants from the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University, Japan with a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. His life work, spanning several decades, contributed significantly to the development of the mango sector, playing a crucial role in the research, development, and technology transfer initiatives that reshaped the landscape of Pakistani mango production in the mid-21st century. By introducing innovative practices and disseminating knowledge, he played a pivotal role in influencing fruit crop yields, contributing significantly to the broader cause of food security in Pakistan. Dr. Rajwana earned accolades for his dedication to advancing horticulture, receiving recognition not only within academic circles but also from the farming community and governmental bodies. Sezai Ercisli, PhD Head, Department of Horticulture and Faculty of Agriculture, Atatürk University, Erzurum, Turkey; Chief Editor, Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry Sezai Ercisli, PhD, is Head of the Department of Horticulture and Faculty of Agriculture, Atatürk University, Erzurum, Turkey, as well as Chief Editor of the Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry. He was formerly a Visiting Professor at the University of Nebraska, USA. He has conducted scientific studies on horticulture plant biotechnology in many laboratories in different countries of the world. He teaches courses to postgraduate students in the field of horticulture, especially on biotechnology of horticultural plants, characterization of horticulture genetic resources with morphological, biochemical (particularly seconder metabolites and phytocemicals) and molecular markers, modern horticultural production, and use of modern technology in horticulture plant production (artificial intelligence, smart agriculture, deep learning). He is ranked among the 100,000 most successful scientists in the world, according to the Stanford University. With over 765 articles published in WOS, he has an h index of 59. According to www.research.com, he ranks 2nd in Turkey and 422nd in the world in plant and agronomy sciences. Dr. Ercisli served as Vice Rector of Atatürk University (2016 and 2020) and has been the president of the World Apricot Association and the Turkish representative to the European Fruit Producers Association since 2018. He graduated from Atatürk University Faculty of Agriculture and completed his doctorate on rosehip breeding and biotechnology in Gümüshane province. Shakeel Ahmad, PhD Professor of Agronomy, Institute of Agronomy (IOA), Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Pakistan Shakeel Ahmad, PhD, is a Professor of Agronomy at the Institute of Agronomy (IOA) at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. He has been devoting himself in teaching and researching the field of arable crops, especially focused on crop modeling, climate change impact assessment, and adaptation strategies. He has published over 200 articles and 150 book chapters.
