Equally, it highlights case studies where CI has successfully enabled breakthrough innovations in polymer composites, demonstrating the transformative potential of these technologies across industries.”
—From the Foreword by Dipankar Chattopadhyay, PhD, Professor, Dept. of Polymer Science and Engineering, Calcutta University, West Bengal, India

The field of polymer composite materials has long stood at the intersection of innovation, enabling the development of lightweight, durable, and multifunctional materials that power industries ranging from aerospace to consumer goods. With the advent of computational intelligence (CI) technologies, the design, modeling, and analysis of these materials have reached unprecedented levels of precision, efficiency, and sophistication. This new volume, Green and Smart Polymer Composites: Bridging Materials Science and Intelligent Technologies, helps to bridge the fundamentals to smart engineering in materials science. It provides current and important research on the study of polymers and finite composition of their composite materials along with computational intelligence techniques on polymer composite materials. it also discusses applications of smart polymers and presents a selection of case studies on polymer composite materials.

Mechanical characteristics, fatigue and creep behavior, temperature behavior, vibrational analysis, testing procedures, and modeling approaches are all covered in great depth in this book. The book also identifies the primary industry sectors—aeronautics, medical, aerospace, automotive, naval, energy, civic, sports, manufacturing, and even electronics that employ and benefit from the modeling of polymers and composite materials.

Applications of collagen-based materials in biomedicine, tissue engineering, and prosthetics; waste plant fiber-reinforced polymer composites; 3d scaffold architectures for tissue regeneration; artificial intelligence in predicting properties of composite materials; advancements in polymeric composite design for enhanced bone tissue engineering; and more.

This highly applications-oriented book describing the experimental, mathematical, and numerical analysis of polymers and composite materials will be helpful to academicians, researchers, scientists, engineers, and students and related subjects.
